Foxbright has recently added the ability to upload an image directly to a news article. Images for articles can still be added as content in the article summary or detail, as they have been previously.
Having uploaded images display in news articles will likely need to be styled to an individual website's needs. To have Foxbright style how these images display, a website administrator can contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call Foxbright at 616.988.2400.
Uploading an Image
Size categories can be selected for a news section when adding a new news section, or by going to 'manage news sections' and editing a news section.
When editing or adding a new news article, a new field in the 'add news article' form is available to upload an image to the article.
Displaying Uploaded Image for News Article
As noted above, the manner in which news article images are displayed is flexible and typically requires some styling. The common way to surface these images is as a thumbnail in a News Headlines block. There is a 'Show Article Image' button in the News Headlines block properties that can be toggled on.
Below is an example of the thumbnail display in News Headlines. News article images aren't designed to show in other areas by default, but they can be styled to do so by a developer at Foxbright.
